ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STUDY AND REVIEW PROCEDURE

The Des Cultures Wind Farm Project involves the construction of a wind farm comprising six wind turbines for a total installed capacity of 24 MW. The wind farm is located south of the St. Lawrence River and covers a portion of the territory of the Jardins-de-Napierville RCM, in the Montérégie administrative region. All project components (wind turbines, access roads, collector system and electrical substation) are located within the municipalities of Saint-Rémi and Saint-Michel.

This notice is published to inform the public that the project’s environmental impact study has been deemed to be admissible by the Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MELCC) and that the period for public information  on  the  project  will  begin  on June 18, 2019.

Any person, group or municipality may send a written request to the Minister to hold a public consultation or mediation during the public information period, with respect to the project. The request must be made no later than July 18, 2019.

The project’s environmental impact study, including a summary, and the other documents concerning the  project  are  available  for  consultation  in  the  public  register  of  projects  subject  to the environmental impact study and review procedure at the following Internet address: www.ree.environnement.gouv.qc.ca.
