The documents of the environmental impact study for the Des Cultures Windfarm are now available on the website of the Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MELCC) in the Registry of environmental evaluations. Furthermore, as mentioned in the Registry of environmental evaluations, the Project will be subject to other steps in the authorization process, the main steps being:
• Obtaining a notice of admissibility following interministerial consultations conducted by the MELCC;
• Public participation to potential hearings to be held by the Bureau d’audiences publiques de l’environnement (BAPE);
• Obtaining the governmental decree authorizing construction of the Project.

In addition, in the context of the Project development process, Des Cultures Renewable Energy has filed, at the end of December, an application for authorization to the Commission de protection du territoire agricole (CPTAQ). A decision is anticipated later in 2019.
